Outreach Ministries

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:18-20

Operation Saturation

Usually twice a month, we meet on Saturday mornings at 10:00 am to pray and then go out to invite our community to come to church. It is our fervent desire that the message of the gospel be placed in every home in our Blythewood area. This exciting ministry again involves all ages. Retired folk and children put together our doorhanger bags, and entire families can go out together to deliver them to the people we love and pray for. We often have a salad fellowship afterward and are able to share one with another the blessings involved in our encounters with the community. It is a great thing to serve the Lord together!!

ROA Prison Ministries

The Lord blessed us when He introduced us years back to the Rock of Ages Prison Ministries. We are able to help them in local prisons as volunteers. Our Pastor & others interested go once a month to minister to the Department of Juvenile Justice, sharing Christ with young men and ladies, ages 12-17. Every August we have several volunteers help with the Juvenile VBS, a four day event ministering to hundreds of young people. Ladies have helped in prison revivals, as well as Ladies Retreats. Each Christmas, a large group of us, all ages, go Christmas caroling to Just Care, a prison hospital in Columbia. BBC also helps to put together the bags of Christmas gifts for everyone at the hospital. These ministries are so important. The Lord wants us to reach out to everyone. The opportunities for service at Blythewood Baptist are many and varied because the work of the Lord is all around us!
